What is Adelboden Tourism doing?
Adelobden is also contributing to environmental protection in specific ways.
Public transport:
Refinement of the 2003 Masterplan: the problems concerning traffic flow will be taken in hand in 2008. In addition, Adelboden Tourism proposes that travel on public transport within the town should be free.

Adelboden Tourist Center is an official sales outlet for the Flexikarte (public transport day pass) and thereby actively supports its use.
Projects:
Adelboden Tourism instigated a debate concerning the project "Climate neutral Hotel Engstligenalp", which is now being actively pursued.
Great importance is being attached to energy policies relating to the current "Alpenbad Adelboden" project.
Communication:
In liaison with two students at the Thun-Schadau Commercial School, a pamphlet about the climate is being complied.
The problems and complexities of climate change are addressed on the Adelboden Tourism website (www.adelboden.ch).
Good practices within the organisation:
- All lighting turned off after business hours
- No lights used on sunny days
- Printers and screens turned off when not in use
- Separation of waste materials
- Minimum use of paper
- Heating reduced when windows are open
- Heating switched off during warm weather
- Introduction of energy-saving lamps
- Employees living nearby come to work on foot or by bicycle
- Car-sharing encouraged
- Active promotion of public transport to visitors
